July 8, 2009
We at ECBS are going to host a volunteer coffee and meeting. We are asking anyone who is interested in volunteering at the cemetery to come to the Evergreen Cemetery Chapel at 6:30pm to meet us and to see what needs there are out at the cemetery. We have things in planning but volunteers are the backbone of any organization. This is for current volunteers and others wishing to start volunteering.
Need to expand your resume with community activities? Perhaps you have a teenager that needs community service for a diploma requirement? We can help! Hope to see you there.

Aug. 12th, 2009 at 6:30pm
 Evergreen Cemetery Chapel
We are hosting a second volunteer meeting.
At each meeting we are going to highlight either a piece of history from the cemetery or history of the local communities and ghost towns (yes there are ghost towns out here)
Want to join us and have a topic you would like more information about? Please contact us. We are planning on a meeting each month up till November for now.
We will have light refreshments and look forward to meeting more people. The July's meeting had a wonderful showing.

                                                Sept. 9th, 2009
We will be having our monthly meeting
Evergreen's chapel at 6pm.
Our agenda this month will be to talk about any history that volunteers have "dug up" so to speak and would like to share with others. This will last about 10 minutes.
The rest of the meeting will highlight Kay C, one of our members, that has developed a scavenger hunt she used when she taught in schools. She will cover the history around how this was developed and then we will break into groups and actually participate in this hunt. Sounds like a whole lot of fun and not something to miss.
Each month now through Nov. we will have a special activity or presentation planned that will involve Colorado Spring's history through the people resting in Evergreen. We hope you will join us.

This will be the last meeting of ECBS for the year. We will be brainstorming ideas for next year. We need enthusiatic people and people that don't mind working for a common goal.  Reserve the date. New people are always welcome to the Cemetery Club.
