A Monument to a Life Cut Short

Rachel Wade passed away in December 2006 after a lengthy fight for her life. She was struck by lightning as she worked in Gleneagle. Her family wishes to create a memorial to Rachel but is going to need help. Various events will be planned to raise funds. A local artist is being commissioned to carve an ascention of angels. The tree chosen is in the cemetery and is no more than 10 feet from where Rachel rests. The tree, like Rachel, was struck by lightning in the same year. The goal for this project is $10,000. Donations to her fund would be greatly appreciated and can be sent to the Evergreen Cemetery at 1005 S. Hancock Ave. Write Rachel Wade in the subject line. Please use the link to view Rachel's website and get updates. Keep checking here also for upcoming events for this fundraiser.
